Whiskey Nuts

Thursday, December 18, 2014

We are hosting a party this weekend and wanted to do some easy bits that people can nibble on before any hot food arrives out. You know the usual 'chips and dip'. We wanted something that we could prepare in advance, as we are really stuck for time, but that also looks well and tastes really good too! What we opted for were Whiskey Nuts. They sound weird, but they actually taste good and are perfect for a nibble with some drinks.

Ingredient:
2 Cups Mixed Nuts
1 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp Jameson Whiskey
1/4 cup Soft Brown Sugar
2 tbsp finely chopped Rosemary
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tbsp salt

Method:
1. Heat Fan Oven to 180 degrees celsius
2. Place the nuts on an oven tray and bake in the oven for 10 minutes (giving a shake half way through)
3. Mix together the rest of the ingredients.
4. Add the hot nuts and mix with the wet mixture.
5. Place back onto the tray to cool.

They were easy as anything to make - and now you've made something cool and different for your party.
